About The Doctor: Courtney Gale Deloney

Dr. Courtney G Deloney, Ph.D, HSPP owns and operates Gale Forensic Psychology.  Her company provides clear and timely forensic reports to clients across Indiana. She boasts a unique background in the social sciences. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Northwestern University; a Master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University; then both a Graduate Certificate in Substance Abuse, and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Kalamazoo, Michigan’s highly-lauded Western Michigan University.

Her pre-doctoral residency consisted of two distinct rotations. The first rotation was with a community mental health center. Here, she counseled adolescents and adults with various mental and physical disabilities. Additionally, at her second rotation, she worked at a state prison where she delivered psychological services to adult male felony offenders. Subsequently, post graduation, Dr. Deloney completed a post-doctoral research fellowship through a grant from the National Institutes of Health. Her research investigated health disparities in stress response among young adults using a combination of biological, physiological and additional data.

Her forensic work has been featured prominently throughout her career. As part of an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, she worked closely with legal and medical professionals to reduce risk and ensure community safety. She has also helped criminologists implement new programming at a men’s residential treatment facility. Subsequently, she helped program risk-need factors that address the most common reasons for criminal behavior. She has served as Mental Health Director of an Indiana state prison, and lectured on forensics at state and national conferences. Publications from these lectures are set to release soon.

Dr. Deloney is well-qualified to answer your referral questions. She also consults on a number of psychological and mental risk factors.
