Return To Work Evaluations
Question: What is a Return-to-Work Evaluation?
Answer: For our purposes here, a Return-to-Work Evaluation (RWE) is a psychological exam undergone by a CIVILIAN employee who has taken leave from the job due to injury or illness. (Civilian being a non-civil servant; a non-first responder; a non-hazardous job holder; etc.) The employee’s company requests an evaluation before they are permitted to return.
Question: What happens in a Return-to-Work Evaluation?
Answer: In-person interview(s) with employee.
- Interview(s) with referral source.
- Psychological testing with employee.
- Complete review of all work activities.
- Information gathering (medical records; other documents; etc.)
