Return To Work Evaluations

Question: What is a Return-to-Work Evaluation? 

Answer: A Return-to-Work Evaluation (RWE) is a psychological exam undergone by an employee who has taken leave from their job due to injury or illness. The employee’s company might request this evaluation before they are permitted to return. 

Question: What happens in a Return-to-Work Evaluation? 

Answer: 

  • In-person interview with employee. 
  • Psychological testing 
  • Complete review of all work activities. 
  • Information gathering (medical records; other documents; etc.)
